Coordinate converter
Paste a coordinate in any notation — decimal degrees, DMS, even a place’s lat/long — and instantly get every common format back, with a live map and one-tap copy. Everything runs in your browser.
All coordinates use the WGS84 datum.
Drag the marker to adjust — or tap the map to move it.
What is a coordinate converter?
A coordinate converter changes a single geographic point between the notations people and systems use to write it — decimal degrees (DD), degrees-minutes-seconds (DMS), degrees-decimal-minutes (DDM), UTM, MGRS, Plus Codes and Geohash. They all describe the same spot on Earth; only the formatting differs.
How to convert coordinates
- Type or paste a coordinate in any supported format into the box above (or use your current location).
- Read the converted value in every other format underneath — they update as you type.
- Tap the copy button next to the format you need, or open the point on a map.

| DMS | 40°42′46″N 74°00′22″W | Paper maps, nautical & aviation charts |
| UTM | 18T 583960 4507523 | Surveying, large-scale mapping |

Is it accurate and private?
Yes. The conversions are exact mathematical transforms on the WGS84 datum and run entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded. Decimal degrees to six places resolve to about 11 cm.
