View a live location
Got a live-location link? Open it here to see the person’s position on a map, updating automatically every few seconds. No app, no account — it works in any browser. The dot goes offline when they stop sharing or the link expires.
How to view a live location
- Open the link you were sent, or paste it into the box above and tap View location.
- You’ll see the person’s position on a map. It refreshes by itself every few seconds — no need to reload.
- When they stop sharing or the timer ends, the dot goes offline. To share your own, use share my live location.
Why is the location “offline” or not updating?
A live link shows a position only while the other person is actively sharing. If you see “offline” or no dot, they’ve paused, stopped, lost signal, or the timer has ended. This page keeps checking, so the dot reappears automatically if they start again. If the link says it doesn’t exist, it has expired — ask the sender for a fresh one.
Share your own live location
Want someone to watch you instead? You can share your live location from this browser in one tap, or get the free My Location app to share in the background even with your screen off.
